FLINDERS ISLAND FRESH
Promotes the talented growers, farmers and artisans who create unique Island products.
Flinders Island is located on the 40-degree south parallel. With its remote bays and granite mountains, this magical island prides itself on its saltbush pastures, a “milder than Melbourne” Mediterranean style climate and average rainfalls of 700mm per year of the world’s purest water.
The Island lifestyle is dropped back a gear – allowing the producers to focus wholeheartedly on their crafts and a self-sufficient ethos which inspires them to bring some amazing products to the table.
Situated in the historic Ritchie’s Mill at the mouth of the Cataract Gorge on the banks of the Tamar River in Launceston, this 1880’s timber building glows with warmth and comfort. The private dining room is a special setting to enjoy the Grand Truffle feast.
Working closely with Tasmania’s top producers ensures Stillwater’s reputation for excellent food and service is upheld.
